Ranpushin's Abilities in full:
Ranpushin grants his wielder the power to harness and control light, and light based reiatsu. This grand power is unleashed in a few ways, the primary way being used to focus light into his opponents eyes, blinding them for a short period of time. He also uses this in a variety of attacks, all of which cause general blinding if the opponent isn't careful. These techniques, Ranpu Heki, Senkou Bakuha, Naiya Kousen, and Furea each have a unique way of being unleashed. Ranpu Heki is unleashed in either a vertical or horizontal swing of the blade, causing a 20 foot wide arc of pure light to be unleashed from the blade, this only causes blinding and is mainly used as a defensive manuver. Senkou Bakuha, channels light into the tip of the blade, then fires off with the speed of a bullet, it can also be lobbed like a thrown grenade, when it makes physical contact with an object or person it explodes, causing explosive damage to everything around it, also inducing blinding. Naiya Kousen is the unique power that depends on the wielder, depending on the colour of their reiatsu it focuses a beam of pure light into the palm of the off hand, this is charged at three levels: level one being a fast but weak beam, level two being an average strength beam, able to meet most other beam attacks to a standstill and level three is the strongest, taking near to a minute to charge it fires off over powering any other beam attack. Furea, much like it's inspiration, channels an orb of light in the palm of the wielder and that orb is launched directly into the opponents face and bursts, it causes no damage, but causes severe blinding.

The power of the True Release utilizes both the 4 Runes of the Dragon as well as greater manipulation and control over light and light based reiatsu. This can allow the wielder to form physical objects out of light energy. Things like an additional blade, or a shield. These objects have a physical mass, but can be destroyed in single hit, with the exception of the shield which is more than light given mass it is also reiatsu.

The power of Ranpushin's Four Runes is just as lethal as his brothers, that much is for sure. Each of the runes requires the wielder to have had something harm them in some way to activate, thus was written in the law long ago.
The 1st Rune, Ranpu Katana Kousen, is one of Ranpushin's strongest techniques, for it channels the power of light, raw and untamed into the blade and unleashes it in one might blast rending the earth and dazzling the sky with the light.
With the 2nd Rune, Ranpu Suto-mo, light charges through the blade and the wielder strikes at their opponent until the physical form of the second Rune is formed, then with one final strike an explosion of light is set off, causing devastating damage to any target caught within the 100 yard blast radius.
Unleashing the 3rd Rune is always difficult for the wielder. One must have identified themselves with one of the Gem-Sealed dragons that are close to the elemental hearts. Arashi was closest with Lothnorixius so his was Segiyoku Kousen. This was the full power form of the attack that channeled nearly all of his reiatsu into the blade as it was unleashed in one mighty blast that slammed home with deadly accuracy. However, for others it was different, as each of the gem colours had a different effect. Segiyoku Kousen left the target, provided they lived, dazed, bruised and deafened as if hit with a thunder clap. For Rubi Kousen, the target is left with severe burns, Naiya Kousen the target looses the feeling in some of their limbs and Emeraduo Kousen left them sickened as if they had been hit with a toxin or poison.
With the 4th Rune the wielder must once again have been identified with one of the Gem-Sealed. Since Arashi was identified with Lothnorixius Segiyoku Ranpu focused all of Arashi's reiatsu into the palm of his left hand while Ranpushin focused his reiatsu into the tip of his blade that was mounted on the gauntlet of Arashi's right hand. And the same process is done with any of the other Gem-Sealed identified, the colour varries yes, but the effect is all the same, when the two seperate reiatsu's meet and merge, the resulting blast does more than enough damage to put even the highest level of Hado to shame.

Ranpushin's Ultimate Release was achieved by none other than Arashi Naiya Gincosu when he joined Ivellious Tempest in the battle to save Dragusinkusekki. Arashi stood alone against one of the generals of Omega's army: The Night Master. Not only that, but The Night Master itself held a massive army of undead creatures, including a fallen dragon, a Dracolich. And when the 4th Rune failed to do enough damage to the Night Master, Arashi's burning spirit kept Ranpushin from taking his life away, instead Ranpushin took the soul of the fallen dragon that was slain with the attack and Arashi stood up once again.
A bright light shone from him, brighter than the sun brilliant white wings and a tail emerged from Arashi's body as Ranpushin's blade shone with absolute brilliance.

"Ranpu Doragon." Arashi's armour was also pure white and in the sea of black, he shone like a star from heaven on earth. He drew his blade upwards to the sky and said but two more words:

"Grand Flare." And suddenly that light focused to the tip of the blade, then flowed through the rest of it, and with a single stroke downwards a light so bright was emitted from the blade that the hordes of undead were disintegrated and the Night Master itself fell to the ground, a burnt out husk of nothingness.

It was in that light of salvation that Arashi Naiya a man who had failed at his task to unite the land he loved as their king through a rebellion that the people he wished to save the most saw as a bloody uprising that he found peace at long last. Even as a Shinigami he had always known battle or conflict, but with Grand Flare unleashed, he could finally rest and be at peace.

A history lesson on Ranpushin:
Ranpushin was born younger than Kazeshin and Mizushin and he was also born the twin of Kumorishin, Shadow Heart. And much like their elder brothers Raikoushin and Ankokoushin, Ranpushin and Kumorishin were the same, yet complete opposites. While Ranpushin believed that binding the foe and leaving them be was more than enough, Kumorishin always preferred to destroy things. Eventually as the dragons got older, they split from each other much as their brothers had before them. When Kumorishin was first sealed within his katana, quite frankly he was impressed at the arts this warrior had to seal him away. And before he blinded the fool, he learned this ancient way of sealing and was indeed the first to be freed. It was Ranpushin that freed Raikoushin, though he would never take the credit for it. Ranpushin believed greatly in honour and pride much like his brother Kazeshin, but he also took pages from Raikoushin s book believing that any enemy shown mercy would clearly not do that same for you. While they enjoyed their 1,000 years of freedom, the rift that was already present between Raikoushin and Ankokoushin had grown even more to the point where these dragons were ready to tear the entire world apart with their war. But if it were only Raikoushin and Ankokoushin, perhaps then it might have been different. If only Kumorishin, Aisushin, Koduoshin and worst of all Kasaishin hadn't chose to side with either Raikoushin or Ankokoushin, perhaps then their war that would rip apart the entire world would simply rock a few countries to their cores. However, that was not the only turmoil present at the time, as a young human man by the name of "Bergan" had learned ancient and forbidden demon arts of magic and was summoning a beast that made full grown dragons cower in fear at the slightest noise. A beast who defied all the gods and still managed to win a great war. A beast who made even the dragonic gods look twice when in the darkness. It was a tale heard thousands upon thousands of times by countless people and dragons alike. It was the tale of Omega, the Elder Evil of Chaos and Darkness and now it was unfolding during the war between his brothers and sisters. But it was two young elves, much younger than the evil they faced, who managed to defeat the man who was summoning the beast. Which impressed Ranpushin to no end. Shortly after and right before the war between Raikoushin and Ankokoushin was about to erupt Ranpushin had heard that these same two elves had figgured out the same ancient magic that the original warriors of long ago used to seal Ranpushin and his siblings away, and to top it all off they had even sealed away the hot headed Kasaishin. It was Ranpushin who they encountered next, but he didn't even issue a challenge to the brothers telling them both "You realize that if you seal me, I shall simply reverse the seal, as I did in the first place and we would be back at square 1. So then, why don't I save you the trouble eh? If you can manage to seal away all of my younger siblings before the turn of the decade, then I shall willingly allow you to seal me back into a blade. But it must be a blade with a hilt as bright as I am. With a blade as elegant as my sister Mizushin is, other wise I shall shatter it and break free from your seal and I shall trap you both within a prison of light that not even my older siblings can shatter." It was the monk, Sovliss Ranpushin believed his name was, that accepted the challenge. And by the 9th year of the decade they had indeed managed to seal away Aisushin and his twin brother Kumorishin, they had also sealed away Mizushin, who had obviously gone willingly. When they re-approached Ranpushin they brought Mizushin's blade with them. The warrior of the two of them, Ivellious was his name, bore the blade to show him. "You asked us 9 years ago to come back when we had sealed away your younger sibling and your twin brother. However we have also sealed you elder sister Mizushin, in a blade as elegant and beautiful as she. You also requested that we bring a blade just as elegant with a hilt as bright as you." Ivellious then drew a katana from his back, which had been nudging Ranpushin's attention since they had arrived. "This is a blade with your very name inscribed into the hilt. It was forged by the elves who know beauty, rather than the dwarves that know might. Not only this it was given the magic of the high priestess herself to make the blade shine in sunlight. The hilt was first covered by silk and later mixed with cloth of the brightest thread. Is this acceptable to your terms?" Ranpushin was amazed at the efforts that had gone into forging such a blade. He could not ignore the craftsmen ship of the blade, combined with the care and attention to detail with the hilt and his name was even written in dragonic runes. "You have done all I asked for and more Twins. I shall accept your sealing art, however I request that since it is quite obvious that you changed the chant, that you speak it slower than you normally would. I do so love magic, and arts of sealing and binding are quite preferable to arts of destruction and pain. If I can learn the magic, I can be sealed within the blade as a happy dragon." Sovliss agreed to the condition as he started the chant. While at that time Ranpushin never had a wielder that fit right with him, though many beautiful elven maidens tried their hardest to utilize his skill, they simply could not. Ranpushin was as such, was placed in a shrine in the temple where Sovliss was the Grand Master and the High Priestess was not only the one who had enchanted his blade, but was also the lover to Ivellious. It was many years later, after almost all of his siblings had found their true wielder that a young girl, who's body was condemned to shadow by the vile magic of the Lich that was Bergan who grasped his hilt in hope of final salvation. All of her emotions flowed through Ranpushin begging to be freed from the curse that she suffered so that she could slay the lich. Ranpushin gladly granted her wish and spoke for the first time in many centuries. "Young one, your wish shall be granted. I shall free you from your curses, but in return you must use me, and my blade to slay the vile one that placed them upon you." She agreed and together with his brothers Kazeshin and Raikoushin and his sister Mizushin, Ranpushin and the other Dragonic Masters slew the vile lich Bergan. While Ranpushin did not get the final blow, his blade had at least slashed the lich and he could be satisfied. However, Ranpushin's wielder could not survive forever and eventually succumbed to age. Ranpushin still waits in the brightest shrine in time for his next wielder. Any being who has suffered so greatly that they would wish his aid, or any warrior who has done a great wrong but truly wishes to redeem themselves, they shall be the ones to answer his call and go to draw his blade.

Thus the story of Ranpushin, a lawful dragon of light who believes in the salvation and redemption of all people.
